In 1991, I achieved NM status in Canada.  In 1981, I obtained a rare position in a 9 player simul against a local NM - 7 connected passed pawns (for 2 minor pieces) - I managed to win.  In 2022, I was awarded my B.A. after initially starting it in 1975, 50 years ago. I am currently completing my second B.A.  In 1984, I ran the Boston Marathon.  My best time for this 42 km. (26.2 mi.) race is 2 hrs. 44 min. 27 sec. (1983)  My best time for a 10 km. race is 34 min 44 sec. ('84)
